She is a life saver! i like the fact that when she works on your face she talks, explaining what she is doing and suggests what you could do to minimize breakouts. She also has some magical wax! That does not hurt, and removes hair for longer. After about 5 waxes my unwanted facial hair was gone!

Alexandra is the best kept secret in San Francisco! Her techniques are amazing when it comes to waxing. She is a real expert and I highly recommend her services. In the past I have always gone to Marilyn Jaegar Skin Care in Presidio Heights. They do a good job there, but Alexandra is far better and her price point is great too. If you are looking for someone to do a Brazilian or just simple maintenance waxing for your bikini area or eyebrows she is your gal! Also, I have to mention that she is a true artist when it comes to eyebrows. She is incredible! Here I think I only need just a couple hairs plucked, but after spending over half an hour on my eyebrows alone then I see the work she has done and they are gorgeous each and every time. Completely even and perfectly shaped. If you go to here once, you will be hooked! I also want to mention that when you simply google her and look at the reviews on yelp it only shows 6 reviews, but if you scroll down to the bottom it show 18 reviews that have been filtered. Click on that “18 reviews” and it will show you even more of the fantastic reviews for her. Personally, I think all these reviews should be listed without having to press this filter button, but with technology today I guess you have to click to see them. One more thing, Alexandra is always on time and great with returning calls super quickly when you need to make an appointment. Just this week she called me to check in and set up an appointment. Alexandra is very professional and very on top of things. She is a real pro and I highly recommend Advanced Skin Care!

Alexandra may take a little getting used to, but this Russian phenomenon is great. I had the best bikini wax there! She uses organic wax, even offers a numbing spray to curb the pain (and thank god she does) and the table you lay on even has a heating pad!

It’s close to my work downtown so I decided to give her a try. It’s an old building and her hours are by appointment only most of the time, but she’s very accomodating. It’s just a tiny little room, so um, it’s pretty intimate–but considering what you’re getting done, it’s not likely you’ll be hiding anywhere, heh.

Alexandra is amazing! She is highly trained (lots of certificates from Europe), provides very personal service, and is totally professional. She make you feel very comfortable (cute little towel skirt!) and she is truly dedicated to her field.

She walks through personalized skin treatments (does facials too) and I had virtually no irritation after my wax.

It’s cash only, so be forewarned, but I think it’s an investment and I’ll be going back!

Alexandra is 1) a master in her work (facials, fair removal, beauty related products) 2) a very caring professional. That is, to elaborate on point 2, a professional who not only has the skills to excel at her job but also you can tell she really cares about her clients.

I met her over a year ago, she is originally from Russia and has gone through extensive training in Europe and with other skin care facilities as well. Her products are from Europe and they work, and she is very careful and meticulous with acne as well as hair removal. I go to her now for facials and eyebrow wax.

I originally found Alexandra through Citysearch after a very bad bikini wax that left me with severe ingrown hairs and a rash. I’ve been going to Alexandra ever since which is now over 2 years. Alexandra is very professional, skilled and confident at what she does. I have extremely sensitive skin and I haven’t found anyone else that uses products and/or techniques that don’t irritate my skin. Just in case the business name “Advanced Skin Care Clinic” gives you the idea this is medical spa, Alexandra owns and operates her business from one room in an office building in downtown SF. All her services are provided in one room. She has all the fancy equipment (facial chairs, oxygen treatments, etc) but it’s not a spa experience (no dim lights, fountains, plush robes or cucumber water). However, you will receive the best treatments and service.

I’ve lived away from San Francisco for few years and tried to find a good beautician for some time. Well, I needed a good facial desperately and ended up going back to Alexandra, and let me tell you – she’s worth traveling! The treatments are gentle, yet effective and she’ll pick skin care products that do work for your skin. I love my skin again!

Alex is great!!! I’ve had skin problems since I was a teenager. I was always kind of scared to go see esthetician thinking that if something goes wrong my skin will get more problems. I do have oily skin, blemishes, black heads, and so on. Not the worst case ever, but having skin problems never is fun. So I looked online and found Alex. Didn’t know much about her just took my chances and have no regrets about it. First visit I had a clinical facial and Alex suggested to try Chemical Peel (the mildest of them all series of 6). To be honest, I never even heard about chemical peels before and that made me kind of afraid and hesitant. Well it all forth the money and time and Alex is a great professional, does such an AMAZING JOB!!! All the skin products she uses are just the Best!!! I get compliments on my skin from my friends and I just feel so great now looking in the mirror and seeing Healthier, Radiant and Calm skin! It’s hard to find exactly what you’re looking for, but I think Alex is just IT! Convenient office hours and location, never rushes and does everything as she thinks is the best and listened to your needs.

Madame Dubinsky provides custom ordered facials. Definitely more clinical than spa, her treatments are meant to show results and she is tenacious about getting your complexion to look its best. Her soothing products are from Europe and she takes a tremendous amount of time and care in researching and explaining her methods to achieve great looking skin. She also delivers the most thoroughly smooth, and relatively painless, waxing.

I’ve been waxing for over ten years and Alexandra is the best I’ve seen (believe me, I’ve had my fair share of experiences with aestheticians). The wax she uses is top-of-the-line European and very mild for sensitive skin. The services I receive include Brazilian bikini, eyebrow, upper lip and underarm waxing and most recently, deep-pore cleansing facials. Before Alexandra, I used to cringe at the thought of an impending waxing appointment. Now, however, the combination of her supreme techniques and quality products significantly reduces my pain and anxiety–no joke. She even offers an herbal numbing spray if you’re especially queasy.

Since I just moved to The City, I was very apprehensive about finding a “new beauty crew”. Fortunately I discovered Advanced Skin Care Clinic (via Citysearch) and I’m here to stay. It takes quite a bit to make me a loyal customer, but with Alexandra, it was a given. Not only does she provide exceptional service, but also her knowledge regarding the skin’s unique attributes and how ingredients react with it, is really insightful. She wants to improve your skin; she wants you to be beautiful. After my first facial, my skin looks and feels so much healthier and I’m about to make the switch to her facial skin care line.

Alexandra’s office is small, clean and medical–there are no frills–but that’s not what I’m paying for. I’ll take her over any over-priced, high fashion salon anytime (she used to work with one but is now on her own). Her prices are reasonable and worth every penny. Thanks Alexandra!

I went to Alexandra because one of my colleague is her client for the last 6 years and let me tell you – this lady looks gorgeous, although she is over 50 now. I have a very problem skin with Acne outbreak periodically and Alexandra helped me to reduce it appearance. She explained me how, what and when to use. She has amazing hands – very gentle. She also did me an eye brow and everybody asking me who did so great job. (now some of my friends visiting Alexandra only to do the eye brow). Last year she purchased oxygen machine and I tried it already couple times-amazing results. BTW in fancy salons same treatment cost at least twice more. I highly recommend her. Just make an appointment and you won’t be disappointed.

I went to Alexandra for a facial last week and all that I can say is that I will definitely be back! Alexandra was very pleasant and friendly, and my skin looked terrific afterwards (I never go anywhere without applying foundation, but I left her office without any makeup on and felt extremely comfortable nonetheless).

I particularly liked that Alexandra took her time and walked me through the entire process before getting started, describing all the products she planned to use and the results that I could expect from the treatment. She appeared to be extremely well-informed about different skincare products currently on the market and was not at all pushy when recommending products that would work best with my skin type. I purchased some of the items she suggested but have yet to try them. All in all, I would definitely highly recommend her!

I went originally to Alexandra to fix my eyebrow, after seeing very nice eyebrow at one of my coworker. It is very hard to trust somebody originally and I was skeptical, but Alexandra did a great job. I love my eyebrow now.
Also after feeling more comfortable I started to come to Alexandra for the Brazilian wax and she does it PERFECTLY. You will be thankful to me for this great referral. She knows what she is doing! I am not sure what wax she is using for it, but no ingrown after and very clean and almost painless job (of course to some extend of it).
I also tried a facial with her and of course I loved it as well. First of all it is much cheaper then if you will go to the fancy salon, second – for her you are not just a regular client, but she is trying to earn her trust giving you free consultation and then you see results of her work later. People around you notice it and give you compliments.
